Florida Pictures

The entertainment for the Trip

Jake getting chased (his favorite thing) by Bailey
Fun in the pool
Splashing in the Gulf.  He has no fear and just walked right into the water!
I just love the behind shots, not really sure why but it's cute!

Yes I know it's been practically 3 weeks since we've been home and I haven't posted any pictures from our vacation.  But if you are a regular to this sight you'll know I'm not a reliable blogger!  Jake did well on both flights (thanks benadryl)  I know it sounds awful, but my pediatrician recommended it.  We had a blast.  The weather was fantastic and as usual the week flew by.  My dad got to go this year, which was a nice addition.  The guys got to golf and we girls got to hang some much needed mother/daughter/sister time.  And the kids made it even better!

Back from Vacation

Hello everyone, yes I know, you don't have to tell me, I'm a loser at blogging I think this is understood. Anyway...we made it home from Ft. Myers on Wednesday and have been recuperating and Friday and Saturday night I've had to work. I will have pictures of our trip up and blogged on soon! That is my goal for this week! Hope all is well! Talk to you soon!

This photo is of Noah, Bailey, Jake and Gwyn at the holidome on Valentine's weekend.
I can't believe this my baby is going to be 15 months on Monday.  I'm excited yet so sad at the same time.  I remember those long nights we've had when I couldn't wait for sleeping through the night.  Washing bottles, spit up, blow outs and now all I wish was that I held him more and we did skin to skin more and I didn't get so strung out over breast feeding and gave up.  Oh well those things have been replaced by him knowing how to give AWESOME hugs and kisses.  His smile.  His laugh, dancing, singing, his love of books and his personality developing and growing more and more everyday.  I still can't believe this beautiful boy was created by my husband and I.  I also can't believe how much having a child changes you for the better.  Yes there are sleepless nights and messes and starting to get into tantrums but he's the greatest thing that I'll do and he makes me want to be better.  Anywho... life has calmed down everyone is out of the hospital and doing well.  My mom is starting to train the person that is taking over for her at her job so she can hopefully be done with working really soon.  My husband cleaned last weekend I don't know what came over him but it was great!  And extremely appreciated.  I've been working out consistently so I think that is a plus.  We leave for Fort Myers, FL on March 19 and come home the 25.  We are so excited this year.  Jake can do so much and loves the water and he'll just be so much fun.  I'm turning 25 on the 15.  So there's that.  I know relatively speaking that's young but I'm not looking forward to it.  Dan will turn 28 this month so at least I'm not turing 28 haha...just kidding that's for Dan because I like to remind him he's older than me!  Anyway take care!

It's been a while

Hello I know it's been a while, i.e. title of blog.  My family and I are doing great!  Jacob is doing extremely well.  Learning new things everyday.  Dan thinks he can say sit to the dog.  I've not heard it so I'm not doubting him however I'm surprised and glad it's sit than other things that have managed to come out of my mouth after a long day of cleaning up poop and pee from the dog.  Jacob is getting quite a few more injuries these days I guess the joys of being able to walk and run and not being coordinated.  My mom had an emergency appendectomy a couple of weeks ago, it ruptured so she was in the hospital for a couple of days.  She's doing really well and in fact was cleared from the doctor yesterday.  My dad continues to lose weight for those who didn't know he had gastric bypass in July and at his 6 month check up is dow 135 pounds!  We are extremely proud and happy for him.  Dan's dad had a partial knee replacement on Monday.  He should be coming home today.  He seems to be doing well, but I think we'll really know how well he'll be doing when his 12 weeks off work and physical therapy begin.  For him to not be at work will probably be worse he's one of those that works 7 days a week if he can and hates mandatory off days.  And I'm sure for Dan's mom it will be a true test of their marriage!  Haha!  Dan and I are doing well.  My schedule is amazing for our relationship and Jacob of course.  Being able to be home 5 days in a row I can't explain how great it is!  I've been working out for 2 weeks straight now.  Last week I got 3 days in this week I hope to get all 7 it sounds good now considering today will be number 4 but I don't know how going to work will help me meet this goal.  I usually feel exhausted and nauseated after working busy or not, but we are able and fortunate enough to go back to Ft. Myers this year and well last year Jake was 3 months old so it was understood why I looked the way I did, I feel (especially with the new schedule, not much to  do outside and a boy who sleeps for 2 and a half hours during the day) there is no excuse!  I'm doing an hour on the treadmill, 5 minutes w/ the incline as high as it goes to decrease the size of my butt although I really think genetics is working against me, and the rest of the time i go back and forth between jogging and walking.  The best I've done was yesterday burning 604 calories and walking/jogging 3.7 miles in 60 minutes!  So my theory is SURELY something will get smaller by the time we go to Florida!  So I hope all is well with everyone!  Talk to you later!

seriously he drives me insane.  No we won't get rid of him.  But just the fact that this post exists makes me a little more happy!

Today Jacob and I went to The Picture People and got his 1yr/Christmas picture taken.  Of course we spent waaaayyyy toooo much money, as daddy had to give mommy a lecture, but I then reassured him that we were now to the point in Jake's life that we would be doing once a year pictures.  Obviously snapshots will happen!  My hope is that if we have any money after buying our plane tickets to Ft. Myers for the end of March we will be able to get a new camera!  That is my hope!  But if not the one I have works and it takes good photos, I just really want a better zooming lens!  Anywho, hope you enjoy the pictures!  And I hope all of you are well!
